Protecting the stupid, part 645,598,290,380

MySpace.com is being sued for $30 million by a 14 year-old girl who claims the site did nothing to protect her from getting sexually molested. What about the previous sentence doesn’t make sense? Well, we all knew MySpace would get sued by someone eventually, and we all knew it would probably revolve around some sexual misdeeds, right? Plus, people generally aim for the moon with lawsuits like this, so $30 million isn’t all too surprising. Then, there’s a young girl being taken advantage of by an older man, check. Finally, we have MySpace disregarding its legal duty to protect the well-being of its members despite their own best efforts to put themselves in dangerous situations with strangers they meet online.

I guess I was mistaken. When you break it down, there’s really nothing out of order, right?  Oh, wait… what was that last one?
